IWC Telehealth Appointments
Here at IWC, we believe telehealth / telemed appointments are an important part of treatment for a multitude of reasons. From matters of health, safety, convenience, and to also maximize our time with you, telehealth has great benefits, but there are also some limitations.
The Integrated Wellness team is happy to serve you in the ways that best meet your needs. For in-state Pennsylvania clients, we offer telehealth appointments. They are a great way to connect with our medical professionals and staff without needing to commute to and from the office, or take time out of your busy day to get to us. Learn more about telehealth with IWC is here for you.
The Integrated Wellness Telehealth Appointment Policy
Telehealth has been around for several years, but with the onset of COVID-19 in early 2020, it became a must-have for medical professionals to be able to continue to serve their clients and patients while still keeping everyone safe. While in some cases, it's still important to come to the office for in-person visits, we are happy that we are able to provide the multitude of our services through a secure virtual technology.
It is important to note, however, that there are some limits to telehealth. For one, only in-state Pennsylvania residents are able to participate in telehealth appointments. This is due in part to how medical licensing works from state to state. At IWC, we follow all state rules and regulations to ensure that everything we do is by the book. While in some cases, there were exceptions in place during the early days of the pandemic, the "new normal" has refocused on more traditional regulations. This includes limits such as only in-state residents being able to participate in these services. You can read more on the US News article from later in 2021 that explains telehealth's limits and some of the reasoning behind them.
In addition to regulations, there are also other reasons to come to the office for your visit. Services such as IV Therapy, Ozone Therapy, and some of our other treatments simply cannot be done over the phone. We also do see out of state patients in our office in person, and we work closely with your regular physician and medical practicioners with regards to diagnostics and any other testing that may need to be done.
We know that teleheath can be confusing to navigate or understand, and we are here to help. You can learn more about conditions we treat, and some of the treatments we offer, like IV therapy, Nurse Coach consultations, and allergen treatments on our site.
